Networks in Science of Science

Call for Papers: Networks in Science of Science, a NetSci25 Satellite Workshop

Dear Colleagues,

Please join us in beautiful Maastricht, the Netherlands this June 2-6 for the 3nd Annual NetSci satellite workshop “Networks in Science of Science.” We invite researchers and practitioners to share their latest work in network methods applied to the study of science. We particularly encourage submissions from junior researchers, including graduate students, postdocs, and pre-tenure professors. The Best Student Paper Award will recognize the best submission led by a graduate student. A Networking Lunch/Dinner will follow the workshop.

Scope

We welcome submissions that explore the use of network approaches applied to studies in science of science. This includes (but not limited to) topics such as: citation network analysis, collaboration networks, semantic networks, knowledge graphs, time-varying graphs, hypergraphs, link prediction, graph mining, and graph embedding, and topic modeling in science. We seek submissions in the developing areas of exploration concerned with the impact of diverse voices, intellectual backgrounds, and intelligences (including Artificial Intelligence) on scientific advancements.

This workshop will not archive the submissions. Therefore, we welcome submissions of work at all stages: new contributions, work published in 2024 or 2025, work under peer review, and work in progress (as long as they are not presented at the main NetSci conference).

Format

- For work published in 2024 or 2025, please submit a PDF file of your publication.

- For work under peer review, please either submit a PDF file of your preprint or if without a preprint, an abstract (more details below).

- For work in progress, please submit an abstract (more details below).

About the abstract: The file should be a PDF. We suggest 1 to 3 pages, but you are free to go beyond 3 pages. You have unlimited pages for references and figures and are free to use any template of your choice.

Submission Portal

Enter your submission on EasyChair (https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=netscisci2025). The portal and any updates to CFP can be found on the workshop website: https://netscisci.github.io/cfp
